What Do We Offer?
The transition to Medicare represents a significant change in how one’s health insurance has worked for many years.
It takes an expert to help navigate the system, and we want to make this transition seamless and clear. We offer everything you need to cover your medical and medication expenses while on Medicare. Your options include:
- Medicare Supplements
- Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C)
- Part D Prescription Drug Plans
Why it’s important?
Medicare doesn’t cover all costs and has no out-of-pocket maximum. Medicare will cover 80 percent of your medical expenses but nothing for your prescriptions. This means that you are responsible for 20 percent of your doctor visits, hospital services, and surgeries. The costs add up! With a Medicare Supplement you can minimize or totally eliminate your out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare covered services. Medicare Advantage Plans also minimize your total exposure, but similar to most major medical health insurance, you will share the expenses with the insurance company in the form of co-pays and percentage-based cost sharing.
Then there are the medications! It is very important to be sure that every option is evaluated in order to save you as much money is possible. This coverage is unique in that it changes EVERY YEAR. Surprises can be fun, but not when your money and medications are concerned. That’s why we offer an annual review of coverage changes and provide rate comparisons.
How to get started?
Step 1 is to enroll in Parts A & B of Medicare.
If you are new to Medicare, you can enroll up to 3 months prior to your 65th birth month. To enroll, visit Medicare.gov, call Social Security, or visit your local Social Security office.
After you are enrolled, we will need a list of doctors and medications.
The information provided will help us guide you toward plans that are accepted by your doctor and best cover the medications you are taking.
- We fill out applications, and if applicable, you must complete telephone interview with the insurance company. We can either meet in person here at the office or chat over the phone with an online webinar. We understand that this process can be confusing, and our goal is to provide clear and concise information so that you can make an informed decision.
- Upon approval, we provide guidance as to when and how you cancel your existing coverage.
